Ask Tidy

Use chat, attachments, and reviewable proposals to understand or update your lists.

Ask Tidy is the conversational layer across your workspace. A chat opened from a list starts with that list in focus; a workspace chat can work across all your lists. The context control always shows which scope is active.

Ask questions

Questions return answers without changing your data.

  • “What is still missing from my camping checklist?”
  • “Find duplicates in this list.”
  • “Summarize what I need to buy this week.”
  • “Which list contains my passport renewal steps?”

Mention a list with # when you want to make the intended context explicit.

Propose changes

Requests that change your workspace produce a proposal for review. You see the affected list and actions before applying them.

  • “Group these groceries by aisle.”
  • “Add a packing section for cold weather.”
  • “Move the checked items into a Done group.”
  • “Create a weekend-trip checklist from this conversation.”

Nothing in a proposal is applied until you confirm it.

Import material

Attach or paste source material directly into a chat:

  • Images and photos
  • PDF documents
  • Audio recordings
  • Text files and multiline text
  • Website URLs

Tidy extracts structured groups and items, then shows the same review card. In a workspace chat, choose an existing list or create a new one before applying the result.

Conversations and scope

Chats are saved in history and remember their scope. Resuming a list-scoped conversation returns you to that list when it still exists. You can widen or switch context from the scope control without starting over.

When Ask Tidy is unavailable

AI requests require a network connection. Your lists and ordinary edits remain available offline and synchronize later.
